Paris Hilton is not happy to be the butt of John McCain’s joke.
The heiress—who has stayed mum about the negative campaign ad toward Barack Obama—responded to the ad through her rep.
“Miss Hilton was neither asked, nor did she give permission, for the use of her likeness in the ad, and has no further comment,” Hilton’s rep said in a statement Thursday of McCain’s campaign commercial which compared Barack Obama to her and Britney Spears.
In the advertisement, images of Spears, Hilton and Democratic challenger Obama appear on the screen as a voiceover says, “He’s the biggest celebrity in the world. But is he ready to lead?”
Hilton’s parents, Rick and Kathy Hilton, have already contributed a reported $4,600 to the McCain campaign this year.
