Wow! Look what Vogue did to Blake Lively.

And why didn’t they help her out at the Golden Globes? Like maybe have one of their stylists brush her hair or something?

TV-star-of-the-moment Blake graces the cover of the new issue. And the rag mag is clearly counting on getting some of the built-in “Gossip Girl” readership this month to help their sagging newsstand sales.

"She's the girl of the moment who also has a hit show that people watch as much for the fashion as for the show itself," says Vogue spokesman Patrick O'Connell, explaining the choice.

Inside the mag, Lively talks about -- what else -- the fashion on "Gossip Girl."

"The fashion is just unbelievable [on 'Gossip Girl']. You can watch our show on mute and be entertained."

Oh, trust us. We do that anyway. And not so we can focus on the fashion. Sometimes, it's just more fun to do our own dialogue for the characters.

"Just being here [in New York City], walking around, you pick it up really quickly," Blake explains of her onscreen fashion sense. "In New York, you put on skinny jeans and riding boots and a leather coat and handbag, and you take on that posture and character. It becomes very natural."

Stars raise money for ovarian cancer

Eva Longoria Parker, Blake Lively, Jessica Simpson and many more Hollywood celebrities have teamed up with shoe designer Stuart Weitzman to raise money for ovarian cancer research. Each star was given a plain white satin pump and asked to come up with their own design.

Gossip Girl beauty Blake Lively turns 21 today-- but don't expect to see the actress hanging at the nearest bar!

Blake chose to ring in the big day with good ol' fashioned burgers and her boyfriend, Penn Badgely!

The couple grabbed a bite to eat at the famed Burger Joint inside NYC's Le Parker Meridien Hotel. An eyewitness says Blake and Penn both ordered cheeseburgers with the works, fries and milkshakes (strawberry for her, chocolate for him).

After the meal, the couple signed the restaurant's famous wall.

Blake Lively has revealed she’s only snogged a handful of guys.

The Gossip Girl star says she isn’t as wild as her on-screen character Serena van der Woodsen.

‘There wasn't a period in my life like Serena went through, where I was doing drugs and having sex with my best friend's boyfriend,’ she tells Cosmopolitan.

‘I never went through that kind of crazy.

'I've kissed just three people in my life, other than stuff that I've done for TV or movies. I know – I'm weird!’

Blake, 20, is currently dating co-star Penn Badgley, 21.

Critics Say Gossip Girl Ads “Reek of Desperation”

Gossip Girl has gotten a bad rap with parents. But that’s fine with them.

The popular CW teen drama has taken the criticism and turned it into its latest campaign for the new fall season.

“What we’re trying to do is communicate with the audience in a way that they like and can appreciate,” CW’s Rick Haskins said of the show’s racy new ads.

“This sort of campaign resonates with someone who likes Gossip Girl—specifically, women ages 18 to 34.”

The ads feature the Gossip Girl stars in compromising positions. Critics of the explicit photo campaign include the Parents Television Council, who dubbed the show “Mind-Blowingly Inappropriate.”

One ad shows star Blake Lively getting kissed on the neck with her mouth wide open. The headline reads: “Every Parent’s Worse Nightmare”—a quote from a negative Boston Herald review.

“I think it reeks of desperation, if they have to position themselves as so edgy and so controversial that they’ve been called out by us,” said Melissa Henson, PTC director of communications.

The second season of the popular prep school soap begins Sept. 1.

Blake Lively not happy with "Seventeen " magazine cover

Gossip Girl Blake Lively struts her stuff on the cover of three magazine covers this month, but reps for the 20-year-old are less than thrilled with one of her cover shots.

“Her Vanity Fair and Cosmopolitan covers are great, but her camp is not thrilled about her Seventeen cover,” a source tells Page Six.

“Her rep felt the Seventeen photo looked nothing like Blake.”

Lively’s flack confirmed to Page Six the actress not “over the moon” with Seventeen and called the magazine about the pics.

But the rep claimed Lively wasn’t behind the complaint, saying, “Blake hasn’t even seen the shots yet.”

A hit show, a steamy romance with her Gossip Girl costar, Penn Badgley, late night TV appearances, starring movie roles—it seems the girl’s got it all. Except that she’s frustratingly being mistaken for another spoiled blonde: Paris Hilton. "Since I have a dog and blond hair, that must mean we're alike.

It's a dumb thing to say. I don't think that makes us similar," says Lively. "I don't know her, but I don't like being compared to anyone by somebody who doesn't know me. I'm my own person. I don't go to clubs, I don't party, I don't dance on tables and I don't like sex tapes."

Does this mean she doesn’t watch sex tapes or she doesn’t like starring in them? Because you know who does? Her Gossip Girl likeness, Serena van der Woodsen, a tall, blonde, promiscuous socialite whose scandalous sex tape rocked the season finale.

Can Blake break her typecasting rut with starring role in the upcoming sequel to The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants? Aw, we sure hope so, it’s rough being a young starlet. [NY Post]
