Rachel Hunter is to marry for the second time.

The model announced her engagement to toyboy Jarret Stoll yesterday in her homeland of New Zealand.

Rachel was previously wed to Rod Stewart, 63. Their divorce was finalised in November 2006.

According to The Sun, she told pals: 'He's my first true love since Rod, and the age difference isn't an issue.'

Rachel, 38, and Canadian ice hockey star Jarret, 26, are planning to hold the ceremony in the spring.

Rachel Hunter has hit back at claims that she's piled on the pounds in recent months.

The former model was snapped looking far curvier on US TV programme Celebrity Circus. But she insists the photos were taken in an unflattering light.

‘It’s irritating. Whoever had the audacity to take the picture, well, all I can say is it was 10 days ago and do I look like that to you?' she tells the Daily Mail.

‘All you need is a bad angle and suddenly you're 30 pounds overweight. In fact, I had a lot of harnessing in that picture which you can't really see, and that adds huge bulk.’

Rachel, 38, was previously married to Rod Stewart, 62. They have 2 children – Renee, 15, and Liam, 13.

She is now dating hockey player Jarret Stoll, 25.

‘Rachel has given up dieting for good,’ a friend says. 'For 20 years she starved herself and exercised excessively. But it made her miserable.

‘As Rachel started to gain weight her mood and self-esteem improved.’

And her toyboy boyfriend – hockey player Jarret Stoll, 25 – is also a fan of her weight gain.

‘He thinks Rachel is gorgeous just the way she is,' the pal adds. 'He’s begged her not to lose a pound.’

Rachel, 38, has 2 children – Renee, 15, and Liam, 13 – with ex husband Rod Stewart, 62.
