Now that NICK LACHEY has filed papers in
Los Angeles Superior Court seeking the right
to request spousal support from JESSICA SIMPSON,
will he get it? And how much is Jessica worth?

"Maybe it's a good thing for Nick,"
says lawyer STACY PHILLIPS, author of Divorce:
It's All About Control. "The media says Jessica made
between $30 and $35 million last year and after you
take off expenses, he gets half that."

But in the new issue of People, out on newsstands
Friday, a friend of Nick's says he is simply keeping his
legal options open as a negotiating technique.
