Former lovers Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow are reuniting on the big screen for a feature film about former US President Richard Nixon.
The couple, who were engaged in 1996, previously starred together in the thriller SEVEN.
NIP/TUCK director Ryan Murphy has also just cast , Sharon Stone and Jim Broadbent in DIRTY TRICKS.
The film also features Meryl Streep playing Martha Michell, the wife of Nixon's Chief of Staff John Mitchell.
Paltrow will play Maureen Dean, who stood by her husband John, another member of the Nixon team, as the administration slowly sank into scandal, according to moviehole.net.
Annette Bening, who is starring in Murphy's upcoming film RUNNING WITH SCISSORS along with Paltrow, will play a White House correspondent who received leaked information.
Murphy says, "It's about the women in Watergate, it's very different than Ron Howard's upcoming Frost/Nixon.
"I love Ron Howard's movie. That was about what a nightmare Nixon was to get the rights for the (David) Frost interview and the negotiations back and forth for that.
"But that movie is really about a woman who said our government is corrupt, and 'Why is no one believing me? Why is no one seeing that this Tricky Dicky Nixon is insane?'
"I also think it's the perfect time to make this movie. We'll shoot in the fall (2007) and put it out next fall (2008)."

Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine is known for the rumors that he has a tryst with Jessica Simpson. Now he’s been linked to another Jessica: Jessica Biel. Life & Style Weekly is reporting that Esquire magazine’s former “Sexiest Woman Alive” has been quietly dating Levine for the last few weeks.
Life & Style claims that for their first date, Adam treated Jessica to home-cooked meal at his house. The sentiment went over well with Biel and a source tells the magazine, “She was so impressed by him.”
Biel, who recently split with Chris Evans, was surprised by her attraction to Adam. The insider says, “Jessica likes to be the dominant, more high-profile personality in any relationship. She gets asked out by a lot of famous guys and almost always turns them down.” Still Levine managed to charm Biel. “Adam’s an irresistible combination of the boy next door and the rebel rocker,” explained another informant.

What Jennifer Aniston really wanted to do was direct.
And what the TV and film star wants...
The result, 'Room 10,' played out at a star-strewn Hollywood premiere Monday night at the Directors Guild of America.
The short film, co-directed by Aniston and Andrea Buchanan, features Robin Wright Penn as a nurse whose relationship with an emergency-room patient (Kris Kristofferson) changes her life.
She waited a long time to get behind the camera, Aniston, 37, told AP Television.
'I was slotted to direct an episode of `Friends.' And then I got (the feature film) `The Good Girl.' So, you either got `The Good Girl' or you got a very bad direction of `Friends.' But, anyway, because I was doing them at the same time, I lost my (directing) slot. And why I never did it again after that, I don't know. I think it was just timing.'
Aniston was in an upbeat mood as she strolled through the press gauntlet in the lobby. On Monday's 'Oprah' she had revealed she is still with boyfriend Vince Vaughn, though he was not there on the arrivals line. No, she told Winfrey, she hasn't had breast implants. (She said she simply gained 10 pounds.) But, yes, she does have a new bundle of joy at home: a five-month-old German shepherd named Dolly.

Aniston takes 'Counter Clockwise' turn
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Jennifer Aniston will produce and possibly star in the comedy-drama "Counter Clockwise," written by "Hollywoodland" scripter Paul Bernbaum.
Universal Pictures has picked up the project, whose story centers on noted Harvard psychologist Ellen Langer, known for her work in the illusion of control, decision-making and aging theories.
The script focuses on a study Langer conducted in which she reversed the aging process of her subjects by making them believe they were younger. She wrote about her findings in "Mindfulness." The study received mention in Deepak Chopra's book "Ageless Body, Timeless Mind."
"Hollywoodland," a fictional crime drama about "Superman" star George Reeves, was released in September and stars Ben Affleck, Adrien Brody and Diane Lane. Bernbaum also worked on "Next," a thriller starring Nicolas Cage that's scheduled for release in 2007.
Aniston last starred in Universal's "The Break-Up," which has grossed more than $200 million worldwide. She just directed a short film for Glamour magazine's "Reel Moments" series.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Pop star Justin Timberlake isn't your typical fashion designer. So the runway debut of his William Rast clothing line wasn't a typical fashion show.
Rather than show the collection at the official Los Angeles Fashion Week site, Culver City's Smashbox Studios, Timberlake took over one of Hollywood's hottest nightspots on Tuesday night.
A runway and scores of bleacher seats were added to a section of Social Hollywood on Sunset Boulevard. The Boulevard3 club next door was used for the exclusive after-party, including a performance by Timberlake, the 25-year old Grammy-winner whose second solo CD, "FutureSex/LoveSounds," was released in September.
