Celebrity News: Michelle Rodriguez Accused Of Violating Probation Again

LOS ANGELES (AP) Actress Michelle Rodriguez violated probation again in a drunken driving case by failing to complete her community service and not following an alcohol education program, prosecutors said.

Rodriguez went to court Friday to answer to the latest claims by the city attorney's office, which said the former ''Lost'' actress submitted a document stating she performed community service on Sept. 25, 2006, but later admitted she was actually in New York City that day.

The document was required as part of the 30 days of community service Rodriguez was ordered to serve for violating probation in a 2003 drunken driving case, according to court papers filed Thursday in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

If she is found to have violated terms of her probation, Rodriguez could face between 477 to 537 days in county jail and a $2,000 fine.

Angelina Jolie gives her son Maddox $50 every time he loses a tooth - and allows him spend it on whatever he wants.

The actress, 32, recently rewarded adopted child Maddox with $100 after two of his front teeth fell out - and Jolie vows to give as generously to her other children Pax, three, Zahara, two, and one-year-old Shiloh.

Celebrity Designers: Jake and Reese Romance or Not

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal keep us guessing.

While the two A-listers have kept mum on reports about their friendship turning into romance when they shot the upcoming thriller, Rendition, I’m told they appeared to be way into each other last night.

The maybe-couple were at Carrie Fisher’s L.A.-area home for a party toasting singer Rufus Wainwright, who earlier in the evening had appeared at the Hollywood Bowl performing his almost exact replica of Judy Garland’s legendary 1961 concert at Carnegie Hall.

"Jake and Reese were sitting by the fire all night, talking," a fellow party guest tells me. "Everyone was talking, laughing and celebrating Rufus, but they were deep, deep in conversation. It was like there was no one else in the world."

So, who else was in attendance? Among the boldfaced names in the crowd were James Blunt, Dita von Teese, David Geffen, Barry Diller, Fisher’s ex and CAA honcho Bryan Lourd, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Kate Pierson of the B-52's and Fisher’s mom, Debbie Reynolds.

Reps for Gyllenhaal and Witherspoon did not comment. 'E'

Celebrity News: Oscar De La Hoya Gets Legal To Halt Photo Scandal

Oscar De La Hoya has instructed his lawyers to seek "legal remedies" to stop the woman who is trying to sell fake photos of him posing in a fishnet body stocking and high heels.

The scandalous pictures first appeared on the internet earlier this week and quickly became a must-see item.

De La Hoya acted quickly to dismiss the shots as fakes; his lawyer stated the damning pictures were "a really bad photoshop job."

Sources claim the boxing champion is laughing off the scandal, but his attorney, Bertram Fields, insists his client is keen to keep the images away from further misuse.

He says, "Oscar does know the woman who we believe is selling photographs to the tabloid media but he assures me the photos are phony. He has asked me to pursue legal remedies."

But 22-year-old dancer Milana insists the photos are for real - she took them in May.

The Russian-born brunette met the boxer at topless nightspot Scores in New York last year and insists she and her friends have accompanied De La Hoya all over America.

She tells The Insider, "That is Oscar. I took the picture, this is my camera. This is his pictures."

Celebrity Fashion: Golden Girls Go Graphic

By Wendy O

While us mere mortals shy away from graphic print dresses, Hollywood fashionista’s like Gwen Stefani, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie embrace them with a passion. Hilton even takes it to the next level by pairing two completely different (and totally clashing) patterns, donning a multi-colored patterned dress and black and white graphic shoes.

So I get what Gwen is doing…it’s not like a black and white palette is anything new to her. Since the early No Doubt days, she’s been seen in black and white stripes, up to her more recent off-the-shoulder number in her “Sweet Escape” video. These bold graphics play along nicely with her platinum locks, alabaster skin and red lips combo.

We all know now why Nicole Richie can get away with wearing long, flowy graphic print dresses…they are perfect for disguising a baby bump! Even a five months along pregs belly can be somewhat hidden in this swirly pattern.

But Paris…I don’t know if I can forgive you. Really…first the matronly short hairdo, and now this? Even if the shoes were paired with a solid colored dress, I don’t think that I could stomach them. I get what she’s trying to do, really…and the dress isn’t that terrible, but if you stare at her ensemble long enough you may become hypnotized.

So…graphic prints for fall, yay or nay? Choose your graphics wisely and don’t go around mixing and matching like a crazy heiress…whether you are looking to disguise a burgeoning baby belly or play up siren-like makeup, graphics are hot this season.

Lepaparazzi News Update: Kim Porter's Diddy man jibe

Porter, who has three children with the hip-hop star, expected Diddy to stray but hoped he would have the decency to tell her himself.

She said in an interview with Essence magazine: "I would have preferred to find out from him because that's what a man would do.

"I know it's hard for anyone to say to their significant other, 'I've gotten into some s**t and I got a baby on the way.' But men do get caught up in things, I'm not naive to that. Still, there's a right and a wrong way to handle it. Because, most of all, we were friends. Even if I couldn't have understood it as a woman, I would have understood it as a friend.

"As black women we sacrifice. We stand by our man, through thick and thin, through whatever. But if you feel like, 'Maybe I am getting the short end of the stick,' that's when a change has to take place."

Porter, 36, was pregnant with twins when she learned from a friend that Diddy had a secret child with Sarah Chapman, 33, a fashion worker from Atlanta.

She added: "I wasn't even coming from the place of who, what, why. I laid low and did what women do, I did my background work, collected information about her.

"But I wasn't even on it like that because I was pregnant, and what was bubbling inside me was a blessing from God. I didn't have time for any drama, trauma and bulls**t."

Porter said Diddy, 37, finally told her the truth about his lovechild with Chapman, and begged for forgiveness.

But Porter decided to leave the rapper to set an example to her baby daughters.

She said: "It's not an original script. He's not the first man who's cheated. He's not the first man who's had a baby outside of his relationship. He's not the originator of this. But at this point in my life - I have girls now - it's a different programme."

Porter and Diddy's eight-month-old twin daughters are called D'Lila Star and Jesse James. The former couple also have a nine-year-old son Justin.

Diddy has another son, 13-year-old Christian, from a previous relationship, while Porter has a teenage son, Quincy, with singer Al B. Sure.

Lepaparazzi News Update: Billy Bob Thornton: 'Jolie Would Still Be Sexy If She Was Ugly'

Angelina Jolie is a rare catch, according to her ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton - because she's good looking and oozes sex appeal. The movie star insists good looks and sensuality rarely go together in a woman and he's often dated less attractive girls who "drip sex."

Thornton says, "I've always been able to separate sex appeal from looks... I've been with girls who are models or whatever and the sex was not that great. Then I've been with girls and my buddies say, 'What do you see in her?' But there's an animal attraction to some people that has nothing to do with looks. Angelina is a very sexual person, an amazing, sexy person who happens to be beautiful. But she could look any other way and still have the same sex appeal."

Lepaparazzi News Update: MTV Awards bounce back after Britney

LAS VEGAS - Somewhere, Kevin Federline is laughing. An out-of-shape, out-of-touch Britney Spears delivered what was destined to be the most talked about performance of the MTV Video Music Awards but for all the wrong reasons.

Kicking off the show Sunday night with her new single, "Gimme More," Spears looked bleary and unprepared, much like her recent tabloid exploits on the streets of Los Angeles. She walked through her dance moves with little enthusiasm. She appeared to have forgotten the art of lip-synching. And, perhaps most unforgivable given her once-taut frame, she looked embarrassingly out of shape.

Even the celebrity-studded audience seemed bewildered. 50 Cent looked at Spears with a confused look on his face; Diddy, her new best friend, was expressionless.

Some comeback. Breathlessly hyped by MTV as the evening's most anticipated performance, it became the most shockingly bad of the night. Jive Records might want to push back that Nov. 13 album release date.

The VMAs had better luck with their own reinvention on Sunday. After suffering poor reviews and a decline in ratings over the last few years, MTV moved the show to Las Vegas' Palms Casino, shortened the show from three hours to two, and changed the show's setup to focus more on performances than awards. Justin Timberlake and Timbaland, Kanye West, Fall Out Boy and the Foo Fighters each hosted separate suite parties, where much of the show's performances were held.

Thankfully, after Spears' dismal start and an awkward, off-color intro by comedian Sarah Silverman, the show rebounded with several exciting performances. (There was even more drama in the audience: an off-camera fight broke out between Pamela Anderson exes Kid Rock and Tommy Lee, leading Diddy to remark: "It's not just the hip-hop artists that sometimes have a problem.")

Timberlake's suite was packed with revelers, alcohol and eight lingerie-clad stripper types on raised platforms. Before he accepted the Quadruple Threat of the Year award at his suite, the DJ summoned the partygoers to watch the monitor and go crazy if Timberlake won.

He did, they did, and Timberlake said: "I want to challenge MTV to play more videos!" Then he was whisked away by bodyguards and disappeared.

Timberlake was the night's big winner, with four trophies. After accepting the award for Male Artist of the Year, he jabbed at MTV again: "We don't want to see the Simpsons on reality television" apparently he's not a fan of either Jessica or Ashlee's MTV shows.

Meanwhile, Rihanna won the coveted Video of the Year for her metallically inspired "Umbrella," and Monster Single of the Year for her ubiquitous hit "Umbrella," and Beyonce and Shakira won Most Earthshattering Collaboration for "Beautiful Liar." Beyonce's shimmering gold dress barely contained her top; immediately after she picked up her trophy, she asked an assistant backstage to help fix her dress, apparently to prevent a wardrobe malfunction.

Other performers were appearing on the show's main stage, in front of an industry-only audience seated at tables, like at the Golden Globes. Chris Brown gave one of the evening's most extravagant performances a dance-centric, eye-popping spectacle that channeled Michael Jackson, right down to a brief "Billie Jean" imitation.

Alicia Keys had the evening's most rousing performance, debuting her new song "No One" and then an inspired, choir-backed cover of George Michael's "Freedom."

While performances like Keys and Spears were delivered on the main stage, others were delivered in snippets: Akon crooned a bit of his "Smack That" before an award was announced, while the cameras zoomed in on performances from Fall Out Boy and the Foo Fighters mid-performance in their suites, giving viewers the sense that they had happened upon an intimate concert. Cee-Lo delivered a rocking version of Prince's naughty classic "Darling Nikki" in the smoky Foo Fighters suite (where a beer bong was in operation as Dave Grohl danced, sang Cure songs, played air drums and posed for snapshots); Soulja Boy was showing Kanye West his "Crank That" dance in West's suite.

Though the suites appeared to be chaotic parties, the MTV-cast revelers were carefully organized and strategically placed for the cameras. In another suite, the MC encouraged everyone to drink and keep the energy up.

Choreographed or not, Timberlake and Timbaland's joint suite looked like the most exciting T.I., buffeted by pole dancers, delivered a rousing version of "Big Things Poppin'" while 50 Cent stopped by to perform "Ayo Technology" with Timberlake and Timbaland.

Not to be outdone, T-Pain and West danced high atop Las Vegas in one of the Palms' balcony suites as they celebrated "The Good Life." And Lil Wayne, doing double duty in the Fall Out Boy suite after opening the pre-show with Nicole Scherzinger, was particularly animated.

But the TV audience never got full views of those shows, though MTV promised viewers more via its Web site and other "remixed" versions of the show. That might have been the purpose: to whet appetites for repeat viewings by promising glimpses of what they missed during the traditional broadcast. And unlike in recent years, there was plenty reason to come back for more.

Lepaparazzi News Update: Pitt's Face Is 'Going'

Brad Pitt has been losing his looks in his 40s -- according to the Hollywood hunk himself.

Pitt, 43, admits the trials and tribulations of life in his 30s have contributed to his sudden ageing.

He tells Details magazine, "One thing sucks, your face kind of goes. Your body's not quite working the same.

"But you earned it. You earned that, things falling apart."

In the last three years, Pitt has transformed from Jennifer Aniston's husband to a father-of-four, partner of Angelina Jolie and an anti-poverty campaigner.

He explains, "Maybe I had a crisis earlier or something. Maybe I had it in my 30s.

"I carried the standard cynicism. But it was also feeling like, I can't sit on my couch anymore, I'm going crazy. This thing I'm doing with my life, it's very nice. But it's not doing it for me.

"(Trying to help the world is) something that brought Angie and I together certainly -- she's absolute evidence for me of someone facilitating changes for the better."

Mariah Carey Sued by Ex-Manager

Superstar Mariah Carey is being sued by her former manager Jerry Blair, who claims the singer owes him money.

Blair was employed as the president of Carey's Monar C Entertainment firm, but his contract was terminated in 2007 after the release of her record-breaking comeback album The Emancipation of Mimi.

A source tells the New York Daily News, "Jerry stood by Mariah through her breakdown (in 2001). He believed in her when other people lost faith.

"(After the success of Mimi) she wanted to distance herself from anybody who saw her in those dark times."

Blair claims Carey owes him a percentage of her record and tour profits.

The source adds, "She hasn't paid him in two years. He had to call in lawyers."

Blair is now working with Carey's ex-husband, music mogul Tommy Mottola at his Casablanca Records label.

Lepaparazzi News Update: "Halloween" slashes holiday box office record

A re-imagining of the classic slasher movie "Halloween" broke the record for a new release during the U.S. Labor Day holiday weekend, according to studio estimates issued on Sunday.

The movie, directed by rock star-turned-filmmaker Rob Zombie, earned about $26.5 million since opening on Friday, easily beating the rosiest predictions.

After two weekends at No. 1, the teen comedy "Superbad" slipped to No. 2 with $12.2 million for the three-day period.

Two other films debuted in the top 10. The martial arts movie parody "Balls of Fury" came in at No. 3 with a modest $11.6 million, while the Kevin Bacon vigilante thriller "Death Sentence" barely registered a pulse at No. 8 with $4.2 million. Their respective studios said the results were in line with expectations.

"Halloween" distributor Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer expects its film will hit $30 million when sales for the Monday holiday are included. Observers had expected it to make $20 million for the four-day period. Final data will be released on Tuesday.

The three-day sum smashes the $16.5 million Labor Day opening record set two years ago by "Transporter 2," which added $3.6 million on Monday. The all-time record for the four-day period is $29.3 million set by 1999's "The Sixth Sense" in its fifth weekend.

"Halloween," the eighth film to be spun off from John Carpenter's 1978 original, focuses on the grim childhood of its villain, Michael Myers. It cost about $15 million to make, said Bob Weinstein, co-founder of the film's closely held producer, the Weinstein Co.

Despite its success, the former Miramax Films chief doubted there would be another "Halloween" film.

"I never say never never ... but it would have to be something very, very different," he told Reuters.

The studio does plan to make two more movies with Zombie, whose real name is Rob Cummings. Zombie, 42, rose to fame in the 1990s at the helm of the heavy metal band White Zombie. He made his feature directing debut with 2003's "House of 1000 Corpses."

After three weekends, "Superbad" has earned $89 million, and the film will easily pass the $100 million mark, said Columbia Pictures, a unit of Sony Corp.

"Balls of Fury" was released by Rogue Pictures, the genre division of NBC Universal's Focus Features. "Death Sentence" was released by 20th Century Fox, a unit of News Corp.
