Heather Locklear missing her daugther in treatment

Heather Locklear is getting stronger in a rehab far from Melrose Place.

Only three weeks after she was admitted to an Arizona rehab to receive treatment for anxiety and depression, a friend of the actress’ told People magazine, “The hardest part of all of this is being apart from Ava.”

Ava, Locklear’s 10-year-old daughter, is spending time with her father, Richie Sambora.

The Bon Jovi bandmember got to hang with their daughter, who has been “with family and continuing on with her summer plans,” the source told the magazine.

“Heather’s really happy that Ava got to spend time with her dad,” a friend of the former model’s said, adding that Locklear and her rocker ex, 48, “are speaking all the time.”

As for Ava, Locklear feels confident that she’ll be OK in the longrun.

“She knows she’ll be better than ever, and that they’ll both really benefit from this. She’s feeling better, but it’s tough.”

Locklear, 46, checked herself in to the facility June 19 for an in-depth evaluation of the medication she’d been taking for anxiety and depression.

In addition to seeing doctors regularly, the magazine reports Locklear has been riding horses, getting therapeutic spa treatments and taking quiet meals alone.

She’s also enjoyed several visits from Wagner, who last saw her July 4.
