Bernie Mac's memorial to be held on Saturday
Mourners will pay their respects in Chicago
Bernie Mac will be remembered by family and friends at a public memorial service on Saturday.
The comedian died at the age of 50 last weekend after being treated for pneumonia at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
The service will be held at 10,000-seat House Of Hope in Chicago at midday.
Meanwhile, Brad Pitt, 44, has spoken out about the death of his Ocean's 13 co-star.
‘I lament the loss of a ferociously funny and hardcore family man,’ he tells E! Online.
‘My thoughts are with [his wife], Rhonda, and their family. Bernie Mac, you are already missed.’
Bernie was married to Rhonda McCullough for 31 years. They had daughter Je'Niece together.
