The Dark Knight becomes second movie in history making 250 million at box office
Batman sequel continues to break records
The Dark Knight has become the second movie in history to make more than £250million at the box office.
The film, which stars the late Heath Ledger, was the fastest flick to earn £200million since its release six weeks ago.
The only other motion picture to exceed this amount was 1997 hit Titanic, which raked in just over £300million.
Dan Fellman, head of distribution at Warner Bros, reckons The Dark Knight will make another £15million before it leaves the big screen.
‘I keep raising the number because it just keeps holding better than expected,’ he tells the Associated Press.
And actor Christian Bale, 34, who plays Batman in the sequel, is thrilled the movie is doing so well.
‘It's wonderful!’ he tells Us Weekly. ‘But I'm not a businessman.
'I just enjoy doing what I do and whatever happens after that is gravy.’
