Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie crisis move to Germany

While Brad Pitt has jetted around the globe since his twins were born on 12 July but Angelina Jolie has only just been snapped in public.

At first, hiding away seemed understandable given her health struggles after having Vivienne and Knox. But as time’s gone on, there have been fears that the couple are buckling under the strain of their brood of six and that their relationship’s been threatened.

Brad’s departure for Berlin to film the new Quentin Tarantino bloodfest Inglorious Bastards was looming, so in a shock spur-of-the-moment decision, the family has upped sticks to join him in Germany.

The couple made the drastic, unplanned decision to move the entire family from the Chateau Miraval in France to the Palais Parkschloss – a £20,000 per week lakeside mansion close to Berlin – at the end of last month.

‘They’re seeing their three months in Germany as a fresh start,’ a source tells Now. ‘Every time they fought, Brad would leave the house.

‘Tensions were building to a point where something had to be done. Every time he walked out, it made Angelina 10 times worse.'

The 33-year-old's emotional transformation has been a shocking revelation to Brad, 44. The independent, fiercely confident woman he fell in love with is actually very vulnerable and needy.

‘He can’t deal with all of Angie’s issues along with having to look after six demanding kids,’ says our source. ‘It’s been overwhelming and he’s not coping well.’

Their usually tight-lipped publicists were forced to issue a statement denying rumours of a split last week. ‘The stories are absolutely not true,’ the statement read.
