Gwyneth Paltrow Discusses Postpartum Depression

Longtime star and fashion industry favorite on the red carpet Gwyneth Paltrow recently sat down with Good Housekeeping magazine to discuss her experiences with postpartum depression. Though she found the time after first child Apple’s birth to be blissful, things were different with her second child, Moses. “I just thought it meant I was a terrible mother and a terrible person,” she said.

It was her husband, musician Chris Martin, who first broached the subject of depression, and Gwyneth says that acknowledging the problem was the hardest part. Since recovering, she has restarted her film career with a recent musical performance in Country Strong, where she plays an alcoholic country singer.

Gwyneth Paltrow Nervous about CMA Performance

Gwyneth Paltrow is set to perform “Country Strong,” the title track from her upcoming movie, at the CMAs Wednesday night. In the movie, she plays a troubled, alcoholic country singer. Referring to the gig, Paltrow told the press, “If I can keep my nerves under control I can survive it.”

Paltrow’s own celebrity fashion style doesn’t have a lot in common with the typical country music star, but the CMA red carpet has become a bit of a fashion industry focus as several country stars like Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood have become big celebrities in the past few years. Paltrow will have an easier time fitting into the designer sizes for the red carpet, according to her personal trainer Tracy Anderson. After putting on 20 pounds for the role, she managed to shed the extra weight once filming wrapped, mostly by cutting fried chicken from her diet.

Gwyneth Paltrow Sings in New Movie

Trending in celebrities news today, Gwyneth Paltrow shows that she can deliver the goods as a washed up country singer in upcoming movie Country Strong, whose trailer was just released. In the movie, Gwyneth plays an alcoholic star trying to rescue her career. She must also deal with romantic troubles and a young upstart singer, played by Leighton Meester, who is ready to claw her way to the top.

Paltrow will have to abandon her usual, bohemian chic celebrity fashion style for the new role, but she is reported to have thoroughly enjoyed the role. Her husband, Chris Martin, lead singer for band Coldplay, taught Gwyneth how to play guitar for the role, Paltrow recently told Britain's Daily Mail, "He is so great because he's so supportive of me as an artist... I really lucked out with him. He's deeply lovely and special."

Gwyneth Paltrows husband Chris Martin tells wife 'Don't lose anymore weight'

Looking skinnier than ever, Gwyneth Paltrow has been told by husband Chris Martin not to lose any more weight because he prefers his women with curves.

Gwyneth, 36, has shrunk from a size 10 to a size 6 in under a year. Now Coldplay star Chris has told her to ease up before she drops another dress size.

‘Gwyneth works out six days a week with Tracy Anderson – the same trainer Madonna uses,’ a source tells Now. ‘Like Madonna, she’s been progressively increasing her exercise sessions and working her butt off.’

The star’s said to have upped her daily sessions from an hour and a half to an exhausting three hours.

‘At first, Chris told her she looked good. In the beginning, she was just becoming more toned,’ says our source. ‘But he now thinks she risks losing all her curves. She’s even tried to get him to work out with her, which he flat out refuses to do.'

Gwyneth’s set to open a set of gyms with Tracy and hopes to release her own fitness DVD.

‘She feels she can’t be associated with a gym, have a fitness DVD out and not be super-fit,’ adds the source. ‘It’s a lot of pressure, but Gwyneth’s someone who can be very driven and determined. It’s hoped she’ll rein it in a bit before she hits that dreaded size 0.’

Gwynety Paltrow grabbing attention lately with her sexy outfits

FOXY GWYNETH PALTROW has been grabbing my attention with a series of killer heels and sexy outfits lately.

But lederhosen? I’m no fashion expert but girl colleagues assure me that Bavarian leather shorts are NOT a must-have.

COLDPLAY star CHRIS MARTIN’s wife wore the outfit at a New York screening of her new film Two Lovers.

It was braver than taking to the red carpet in a pair of her usual huge heels.

Nude Photo: Gwyneth Paltrow destroys clean-cut persona in new movie 'Two Lovers'

GWYNETH PALTROW has destroyed any remnants of her clean-cut persona by filming this raunchy phone sex scene for her latest movie.

CHRIS MARTIN’S wife – who has been sexing up her image of late by donning hot dresses and killer heels – bares and caresses her breast to entice a neighbor, played by JOAQUIN PHEONIX.

Two Lovers, which is released in March, is set in New York and centers around Joaquin's character Leonard.

After splitting up with his long-term partner, he moves back in with his parents who attempt to set him up with a family friend.

However depressed Leonard is instead enticed by Michelle, played by Gywneth.

She lives in the same apartment block as his parents.

Michelle attempts to lure Leonard with some saucy antics, including phone sex and another scene of red hot bedroom action.

No wonder Joaquin's recently retired from acting... how could he ever possibly top that?

Gwyneth Paltrow 'gets Girls Aloud to gig with Coldplay by singing to Cheryl Cole'

Actress and husband Chris Martin serenade singer

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are said to have sung to Cheryl Cole in a bid to secure Girls Aloud as support for Coldplay.

The couple were trying to convince the star and her bandmates to join Coldplay during their concerts at Wembley Stadium in September.

Cheryl, 25, Sarah Harding, 26, Kimberley Walsh, 27, Nicola Roberts, 23, and Nadine Coyle, 23, were apparently stunned that Chris was so keen.

‘The girls were buzzing to get a personal call from Chris,’ a source tells The Sun. ‘They never thought he would be such a big fan.

‘Chris roped in his missus to give Cheryl an X-Factor-style sing-song. Gwyn belted out the girls’ hit single down the phone with Chris joining in.’

SHOCK! Joaquin Phoenix quits acting

Actor says he's made his last movie

Joaquin Phoenix has announced that his latest film Two Lovers will be his last.

The actor – who stars alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, 36, in the romantic drama – wants to concentrate on his music career.

‘I want to take this opportunity to give you the exclusive and just talk a little bit about the fact that this will be my last performance as an actor,’ he tells Extra.

’I'm not doing films any more. I'm working on my music. I'm done. I've been through that.’

Joaquin, 34, was nominated for an Oscar in 2006 for his portrayal of Johnny Cash in biopic Walk The Line. He also won a Grammy for his work on the soundtrack.

In May Tim Burgess of The Charlatans revealed he's been working on an album with Joaquin and Antony Langdon of Spacehog.

'Joaquin wrote the songs, Antony sang and I did backing vocals,' Tim told NME. 'It's been a great time. Music is really important to Joaquin.

'His songs are great – I really hope they come out.'

Two Lovers is in cinemas next year.

Gwyneth Paltlrow in lingerie to promote new movie 'Iron Man'

The sight of a sultry-eyed GWYNETH PALTROW in a bed sheet must tempt the singer to stay at home making sweet music with his wife instead of his multi-platinum band COLDPLAY.

Despite playing host to two kids, Gywn’s body looks as sexy as ever as she poses seductively for a lingerie shoot to promote the DVD release of her movie Iron Man.

Frankly, it would take an iron man not to melt in her presence.

And Gwyneth has confirmed this won’t be the last we’ll be seeing of her scantily-clad alter-ego Pepper Potts alongside ROBERT DOWNEY JR’s titular superhero.

She said: “It was such a fun experience so I’d love to do it again.

“I think we’re all signed on for not only Iron Man 2, but Iron Man 3 too so you may be seeing a lot of Pepper Potts.”

See Pic: Gwyneth Paltrow's fur ad outrage

Gwyneth Paltrow has sparked outrage after posing for an advert wearing fur.

The 'Iron Man' actress - who has two children, Apple, four, and two-year-old Moses with vegetarian singer husband Chris Martin - has angered animal rights groups by posing in animal skin as the face of the autumn collection of fur-lined boots and bags from Italian designers Tod's.

A spokesperson for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has revealed the group has sent the actress letters and videos "showing how people suffer for fur" but are yet to receive a response from Gwyneth.

The spokesperson added: "Gwyneth Paltrow won't be the apple of her daughter's eye if she continues to flaunt fur.

"It's a terrible example to set for a young child, promoting an industry that electrocutes animals, snaps their necks and skins them alive."

Vegetarian charity Viva! have also attacked the actress - who is renowned for her green lifestyle and previously stuck to a vegan macrobiotic diet - branding her "stupid".

A spokesperson said: "There is nothing feminine about inserting an electrode into the anus of a terrified and struggling fox and then electrocuting it. Ms. Paltrow is an actress - and seemingly a particularly stupid one at that."

In addition to angering the groups, some of Gwyneth's closest friends are reportedly "furious" with her, including vegan musician Moby and fashion designer Stella McCartney, who refuses to use fur in her collections.
