Michelle Williams won't accept any awards for the late Heath Ledger

MICHELLE Williams says she will not accept any awards for her three-year-old daughter's late father Heath Ledger, following talk of a dispute with his family.

While rumours continue to circulate that Kim Ledger is at loggerheads with the film giant over who will claim The Dark Knight actor's gong should he win posthumously, Williams's publicist said yesterday the Wendy and Lucy star had no intention to approach the lectern.

"No discussions have been made for Michelle to accept nor are there any plans to take part," the spokesman said.

Williams, the mother of Ledger's daughter, Matilda, has steadfastly avoided media attention since the actor's accidental drug overdose in January, and bypassed the premiere of the Batman flick in July.

The actress is now in a relationship with director Spike Jonze, and is not even expected to attend the Globes ceremony in Los Angeles on January 11.

Michelle Williams' Heath despair

Michelle Williams says things are "getting worse" following the death of her former fiance Heath Ledger in January.

The 28-year-old star - who has a three-year-old daughter Matilda from her relationship with Heath - is finding it increasingly harder to cope because she misses the actor so much.

She said: "I just wake up each day in a slightly different place - grief is like a moving river, so that's what I mean by 'it's always changing'. It's a strange thing to say because I'm at heart an optimistic person, but I would say in some ways it just gets worse.

"It's just that the more time that passes, the more you miss someone. In some ways it gets worse. That's what I would say."

The former 'Dawson's Creek' star also blasted paparazzi photographers for infringing on her and Matilda's privacy, adding she is considering giving up acting unless the situation improves.

She added to Newsweek magazine: "It burns a fire inside of me, the s**t that I've seen people do to get at me or my daughter. I won't forget it, and I won't support it. I don't want my daughter growing up feeling spied on or threatened.

"If it gets to the point where I can't situate my life in a way that they stay away more, then I'll drop a match on acting. I'll be sad. I like to act. It's saved my life over and over again. I have this thing that I'm in love with - acting - and now it has this baggage."

Heath died of an accidental drugs overdose in his New York apartment in January. He was 28 years old.

Michelle Williams "Furious" with Heath Ledger's family

Heath Ledger, who passed away in January, will star in his last film, Dark Knight, out in theaters next month. The actor will be honored by his family at the premiere.

Ledger’s father and mother, along with other family members, will fly to America for the premiere on July 14.

However, ex Michelle Williams, who has daughter Matilda with Ledger, may not be in attendance.

“Michelle is furious with Heath’s family and threatening to boycott the premiere. Matilda is supposed to be the beneficiary of the will, but Michelle has seen nothing from them. Heath didn’t have much in cash, but there was a big house in LA and a back-end deal for ‘Dark Knight’ [that] could reap millions,” an insider told the paper.

Ledger wrote up his will in 2003, before Matilda was born, and left everything to his father, mother and sisters.

However, Matilda is now the beneficiary, with Ledger’s dad as the executor.

The paper reports that years ago, Ledger’s father lost millions when he managed his own father’s money.

According to the paper, Williams fears nothing will be left for Matilda by the time she reaches 18.
