Jerry O'Connell, Rebecca Romijn ready for parenthood

Jerry O'Connell and wife Rebecca Romijn will soon be joining the ranks of expectant parents -- if their plans come to fruition.

"Rebecca and I are both looking forward to the next logical step," reveals the star of ABC's "Carpoolers" sitcom, who married the "Ugly Betty" actress last July. "We're married, and we both want children soon. That's our plan, and we can't wait."

The writers' strike that's crippling Hollywood could help them realize their plans, he says. Both have been idle from their series shooting for months now. And that, says O'Connell, "is giving us some very cherished time together. When we're working, we see each other very little. But with the strike … Well, I'm spending a lot of time gardening, she's become a chronic antique eBayer and does work with cross-stitching. But mostly we spend time together."

O'Connell's series has started an eight-week airing of segments that were shot prior to the beginning of the strike, but like the rest of the industry, he has no idea when he'll be able to return to the cameras.

Pamela Anderson has described her split from Rick Salomon as "a big fat juicy can of worms".

The former 'Baywatch' star - who filed for divorce on December 14 after just three months of marriage - has spoken about their break-up for the first time.

Pammie said: "I wish him the best. It's a can of worms. Big, fat juicy worms, but worms."

She also shot down rumours she is pregnant with Rick's baby, telling US TV network E!: "No more kids. No more kids."

In December, the 40-year-old actress had claimed she and Rick were trying to work things out, but it was recently revealed her lawyer had filed a proof of service summons in Los Angeles Superior Court on December 28.

Pammie - who has two sons, Brandon, 11, and nine-year-old Dylan with first husband Tommy Lee - fell for friend Rick after he offered to waive her poker debts to him in return for sex.

They married in a quickie ceremony in Las Vegas, in the one-hour break between Pammie's performances as Hans Klok's assistant in his magic show.

Rick famously starred in and released the Paris Hilton sex tape 'One Night in Paris'.

He was previously married to actresses Shannen Doherty and Elizabeth Daily, while Pammie has been wed twice before to rockers Kid Rock and Tommy. She filed for divorce from Rock after just four months of marriage.

Last night, I watched Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie make out.

Not in my dreams, mind you. I was at the live VH1 telecast of the Critics' Choice Awards from the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.

The Dolce & Gabbana-garbed Jolie and her scruffy-sexy man were two of the last celebs to arrive, so they had to wait in the back for a commercial break to take their seats.

Britney Spears Dumps Car

Britney Spears abandoned her car on Sunset Boulevard during rush hour last night (07.01.08).

The troubled pop star, who got a flat tyre while she was driving along the busy Los Angeles street, continued to drive for two miles without her lights on and even passed a petrol station before she pulled over and deserted the vehicle.

Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Mike Lopez said: "Britney Spears' car was impounded because it was blocking the roadway."

Britney now faces a $104 towing fee, plus $32 for every day it remains in the towing yard.

If the 'Toxic' star doesn't collect the vehicle within 30 days, it will be put up for auction.

The incident has sparked further fears for the singer's mental health.

The 'Gimme More' singer was taken to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center following a three-hour stand-off with police which began at 8pm on Thursday (03.01.08) after she refused to return her sons, two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James, to ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Britney Spear's Pill Binge

Britney Spears reportedly took over 100 pills during a massive 36-hour drugs binge last week, before being hospitalised.

The troubled singer is said to have washed down the huge amount of drugs with a 'Purple Monster' cocktail - a mixture of vodka, anti-flu syrup and an energy drink, before being taken to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Thursday night (03.01.08), according to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper.

Her hospital dash came after she refused to give her sons, two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James, back to ex-husband Kevin Federline after a custodial visit.

A source close to the singer said: "She ended up taking 20 Clenbuterol diet pills, 18 herbal speed tablets, 18 Piriton anti-histamine tablets, 12 Vicodin painkillers, 10 sleeping pills and eight antacid reflux tablets.

"She also drank one bottle of Pepto-Bismol, two bottles of NyQuil and two bottles of OxyContin painkiller, and took a further 10 anti-hangover drugs and six Ritalin tablets which are usually used to treat Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)."

Meanwhile, Britney's estranged father Jamie reportedly "broke down in tears" when he visited his 25-year-old daughter in hospital.

A source told People magazine: "Jamie was incredibly upset. He broke down in tears. When he realised the situation, it just literally broke him down.

Victoria Beckham's Concert Ban

Victoria Beckham has reportedly banned a host of her celebrity enemies from attending the Spice Girls' reunion concerts.

The 33-year-old singer - who is currently in the middle of the band's 17-date residency at London's O2 arena which is part of their world tour - has compiled a list of stars who are not welcome at the venue as they have upset her in the past.

The list includes British glamour model Jordan and her husband Peter Andre, Lily Allen, Sophie Ellis Bextor, TV star Denise Van Outen and camp comedian Graham Norton.

A source said: "Victoria has taken some stick over the years from certain celebrities. She doesn't want to be doing her stuff on stage, and then see famous faces in the audience taking the p**s.

"So, quite understandably, Victoria has banned a number of well-known names from the show."

Jordan and Peter publicly slated Victoria and her soccer star husband David on national TV, while Sophie - who beat Victoria in a chart battle in 2000 - slammed the Spice Girls' latest video 'Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)'.

Lily criticised Victoria's figure, saying she was too thin to be a good role model, while Graham and Denise have also ridiculed her appearance.

Lachey & Minnillo Are Heroes To Old Neighbour

Pop star Nick Lachey and his girlfriend have turned a problem neighbour into a new best friend after saving his life.

The singer and Vanessa Minnillo jumped into action when an elderly man living in their New York apartment block collapsed as he stepped out of an elevator.

Minnillo called the emergency services while her boyfriend grabbed the old guy's keys and dashed to get his angina medicine.

The couple then stayed with the man until paramedics arrived and took him to hospital, according to the National Enquirer.

Ironically, the man was among those who opposed Lachey and Minnillo's move into the condo, citing worries about the paparazzi who follow the couple everywhere.

Fergie has got engaged to her actor boyfriend Josh Duhamel.

The couple, who have been dating for three years, announced their happy news yesterday (26.12.07) but refused to reveal if 'Las Vegas' star Josh popped the question on Christmas Day.

A representative for the actor has confirmed the pair got engaged "recently", but as yet no other details are available.

Since getting betrothed, Fergie, 32, has been calling all her friends and family to tell them about the engagement.

A source said: "She has called a lot of her girlfriends to tell them about the engagement. Fergie said she and Josh don't know what kind of wedding they want yet, but insists she is the happiest girl on earth."

Earlier this month, Fergie claimed she was in no rush to get engaged because she already felt married to Josh.

Angelina Jolie has started rubbing caviar into her skin to stay looking young.

The 32-year-old actress, who is dating Brad Pitt, is said to be worried the veins in her arms, hands and forehead have become more visible because of the amount of weight she has lost in recent months.

To combat the problem, Angelina has started having a special £200-a-time beauty treatment which uses a cream made from the eggs of the Baerii sturgeon - which is reared on farms in the South of France to produce the culinary delicacy of fish eggs.

The treatment, which can last up to three hours, involves the actress being wrapped up in tight bandages so her body sweats out toxins before she is slathered in the youth-restoring body cream - which claims to fight "slackened skin and loss of firmness".

The high oil and protein content of the sturgeon eggs is believed to be very good for the skin.

As well as the full body treatments, Angelina is also having lengthy facials using caviar-based moisturisers made by cosmetic company La Prairie.

The 'Beowulf' star is not the only celebrity who has discovered the skin benefits of caviar.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden treated 200 children to a Christmas party on Saturday (22.12.07).

The couple organised the party at Los Angeles' Paramount Studios for children from Beyond Shelter - a charity programme which helps families beat homelessness and poverty - as part of their Richie-Madden Children's Foundation , which they set-up when they learned they were to become parents.

Joel told People magazine: "It's fun for us to be with a bunch of kids who are having a good time. They make you smile. Hopefully for today they're feeling special.

"The foundation is really important to me and Nicole. We're just really happy to be a part of the community and celebrating with these kids who haven't been as fortunate as us."

The Good Charlotte frontman and his heavily pregnant fiancée - who is due to give birth in January - handed out new pairs of shoes and teddy bears to the kids.

Nicole joined in as the children enjoyed face-painting, balloon animals and hot dogs, and was cheered by the children as she shouted, "Who wants to throw pies in Joel's face?"

The couple - who last month hosted a surprise baby shower for 100 new mothers and pregnant women at Hollywood's Los Angeles Free Clinic - insist they are having a quiet family Christmas this year.

LOS ANGELES - It seems like only two months ago that Pamela Anderson was aglow with happiness over her quickie Las Vegas wedding to Rick Salomon.

Actually, it was.

But the 40-year-old ex-"Baywatch" beauty has filed for divorce from her 38-year-old husband after just two months of marriage.

Anderson cited irreconcilable differences in papers filed Friday in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The documents were first obtained by the celebrity Web site CelebTV.com.

Anderson and Salomon wed Oct. 6 during a break between the 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. shows of "Hans Klok's The Beauty of Magic" at Planet Hollywood resort, where Anderson was starring as a magician's assistant. The couple separated less than 10 weeks later, on Dec. 13.

Salomon is best known for making a sex videotape with Paris Hilton, his girlfriend at the time, and was previously married to actress Shannen Doherty. Anderson was previously married to singer Kid Rock and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee.

Victoria and David Beckham Spiced things up in Las Vegas with a trip to one of the world’s raunchiest lapdancing clubs.

The couple enjoyed three hours in a private room at Spearmint Rhino on Monday.

In the area — where Posh and Becks were celebrating the birthday of a SPICE GIRLS make-up artist — topless women offer dances for £200-an-hour.

I caught up with the pair as they nursed hangovers — and they told me they are having the time of their lives on the Spice tour.

At the exclusive Vegas venue — a fave of naughty Hollywood stars — guests are lavished with champagne and strawberries while they watch X-rated dances.

I’m assured the pair didn’t have any private shows — but they most certainly got an eyeful. When I bumped into Victoria in her hotel, she admitted the girls’ tour is turning her into SLOSHED SPICE.

They have been boozing all night and sleeping in all day. And even (pint of) Becks has discovered hitting the bar can be fun. Posh told me: “We are having the time of our lives.

“It hasn’t been like this for years — since before our first son Brooklyn was born.

“We’ve had two nights out on the trot which have been really messy and we are loving it.

“We have been lying in every day watching films as we haven’t got the kids.

“We are behaving like rock stars — late-night drinking on tour.”

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have been labelled "The Trollsen Twins" by PETA.

The 21-year-old stars have angered the animal rights group by continuing to wear fur and including it in their clothes lines.

PETA fumed: "Mary-Kate and Ashley have ignored pleas to stop wearing fur and are still using it in their fashion collection."

The group has now launched a campaign against "fur fiends" like Mary-Kate, who they have dubbed "Hairy Kate" and Ashley who they refer to as "Trashley".

PETA have designed a poster featuring the superstar sisters along with the tagline, "Fur Is Worn by Beautiful Animals and Ugly People".

The "Trollsen Twins" poster will be unveiled today (11.12.07) next to their Hollywood Walk of Fame star in Los Angeles.

Mary-Kate and Ashley - who in 2005 were estimated to have a combined net worth of $300 million - have a lucrative brand including their own fashion and accessories range, their own film franchise and successful acting and modelling careers.

Madonna has sparked facelift rumours after she was spotted leaving a medical centre with two black eyes.

The 49-year-old singer masked her eyes with oversized black sunglasses as she left the New York building but the dark purple bruising was still visible.

Cosmetic operations on the eyes or nose can leave the patient with bruises.

Although Madonna has always denied going under the knife, insisting her youthful looks are natural, it is not the first time she has been dogged by surgery rumours.

In September, she was photographed with a new scar and swelling around her ear.

Celebrity plastic surgeon Alex Karidis said at the time: "I believe she has undergone a form of facelift."

In 2004, Madonna - who is 10 years older than husband Guy Ritchie - was at the centre of another surgery riddle.

Jennifer Lopez didn’t perform at last night’s Movies Rock show, but she didn’t have to. She wowed the crowd at the Kodak Theater by simply walking onstage.

Dressed in a white cloud of a dress, the audience went crazy when she appeared in all her pregnant glory. Seeing an expectant J.Lo is surreal. Maybe it’s because I started my career in the gossip world when she was just starting to date Sean "Puffy" Combs in the late '90s.

Lopez originally planned to perform, but as I first reported last week she decided only to present, and she spent most of the two-hour show sitting in a seat not far from the stage.


Despite plenty of standing ovations throughout the night for people like Jennifer Hudson and Fergie, Ms. Lopez stood only for legendary conductor and composer John Williams. She was helped up by a friend sitting next to her, as hubby Marc Anthony had already bolted backstage to get ready for his cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s Graduate song ".Mrs. Robinson.".
