Lepaparazzi News Update: 'Sex and the City' movie on the horizon

The big screen version of Sex And The City is reportedly a step closer to reality.

US OK! magazine claims that early negotiations with the four leads have been successful and the movie looks set to enter production. An industry insider is cited as saying: "Obviously, there is still a lot to be worked out contractually, but it would be amazing to get this project off the ground."

The popular television series, which followed the love lives of four women in New York, starred Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon. The show ran for six seasons and ended in 2004, amidst rumours of behind-the-scenes rivalry amongst cast members.

Johansson confirms record

Latest: Scarlett Johansson has confirmed reports she's filling in time between movie shoots by recording an album.

The Lost In Translation star, who showed off her vocals in the film alongside Bill Murray in a karaoke scene, has signed a deal to make her first record, Scarlett Sings Tom Waits.

The 21-year-old is a huge fan of the singer/songwriter, and is so keen to do his music justice she's taking all the time she can in the studio.

She says, "It's coming along. There is no rush to get it out there.

"We're taking our time - doing a week here and week there. I just love his music."
