Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt sign up for sessions with relationship Counselor
When a radiant Angelina Jolie appeared with Brad Pitt at the New York premiere of her movie Changeling last week, the couple couldn’t have looked more relaxed or content.
Thankfully, Now can reveal that after months of tensions between the pair they’re finally back on track.
As well as the surprise move to Germany on 24 September to keep the family together while Brad, 44, films there, the couple have signed up for sessions with a relationship counsellor.
As a result, they’ve both committed to focus on supporting each other more as they deal with the challenges of raising six children in the spotlight.
‘It’s true that they’d hit a real rough spot,’ a friend tells Now . ‘It’s Brad who’s taken the lead to try to sort it out. To make Angelina realise how serious it all was, he’s had to threaten to leave, even though he didn’t mean it. Neither of them wanted that – it was just the stress.
‘Brad ended up breaking down in tears and practically begging Angelina to get some sort of counselling together. She agreed and they’ve booked a session with a counsellor in New York. Brad’s exact words were that he wants to “mend and strengthen” their relationship, which an expert is now going to help them to do.
'For the first time in months they’ve started talking about how they feel without screaming. It’s made them closer than they’ve been in a long time – they’re back to supporting each other.'
Brad and Angelina, 33, are mum and dad to Maddox, 7, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2, as well as their 3-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne
