THIS year has been a hair-volution for celebrity 'dos.

Britney has gone from baldy to blonde babe (thanks to some SERIOUS extensions).

Rihanna hacked her luscious raven locks in to a seriously sexy chop.

Amy Winehouse resembled the inside of a haybarn with her badly bleached blonde barnet (thank goodness she went Back To Black.)

And Lily Allen went blonde, pink, brunette, short, long, black .....

But it's not just the celebs going for a change.

The average woman has 26 makeovers in a lifetime according to Boots, and the biggest reason is to boost confidence.

With Xmas flu knocking most of us for six and the credit crisis hitting our purses, we figure a little confidence boost could be just what the doctor ordered.
