Alex Rodriguez denies secretly dating Madonna

Alex Rodriguez has laughed off reports he’s secretly dating Madonna.

The baseball star has been to several of her Sticky & Sweet concerts, following her divorce from Guy Ritchie, 40.

He was even seen boarding a private jet with Madge, 50, in November, according to reports.

But A-Rod, 33, has set the record straight.

‘I have never been on a plane with her,’ he says. 'I’ve been to two [of her] concerts, yet I've read that I went to 20.

'I've also read that we were buying an apartment together. That is absolutely ridiculous and not true.’

Alex, who recently separated from wife Cynthia Rodriguez, 34, the mum of his two kids, is determined not to let the rumours get to him.

‘You have to have a sense of humour when it comes to this stuff,’ he tells People. ‘We're friends – that's it.’

Madonna's A-Rod house

Madonna and her rumoured new boyfriend are house-hunting in New York.
The singer and Alex 'A-Rod' Rodriguez - who are yet to officially confirm they are dating - are reportedly searching for the perfect home in the US city.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "They have been discreetly looking at properties between Fifth and Park avenues, from just above 60th Street through the 80s.

"Madonna personally came to look at one house a couple of months ago, and Alex has been looking recently. We're talking about private, double-width mansions in the vicinity of $30 million to $60 million."

It has also been reported the pair are looking for a property "with a garage that you can drive into for additional privacy - although those are rare and hard to come by".

They are also said to be searching in New York's exclusive Hamptons district. The pair recently visited the star-studded area when they stayed at comedian Jerry Seinfeld's house.

Madonna's Rodriguez rage

Madonna is reportedly furious Alex Rodriguez dropped out of Kabbalah training because he was "bored".

The 50-year-old singer - whose divorce from Guy Ritchie was granted last week - has so far failed in her attempts to get her rumoured boyfriend Alex to share her interest in Kabbalah, a mystical off-shoot of Judaism.

A source at New York's Kabbalah Centre, where baseball star Alex had been attending private classes with spiritual leader Eitan Yardeni, said: "He hasn't even finished Kabbalah 1 (the introduction to the study of Kabbalah) and the majority of the time he has spent with Yardeni so far was for counselling, not study."

Madonna - whose bid to get Guy interested in the religion failed after he branded it "weird" and "hokum" - is now said to be considering whether to proceed in her relationship with Alex.

The source added to MSNBC.com: "This is certainly off-putting to Madonna. She did drag Guy into Kabbalah, she's doing the same now with Alex. But he's bored. He's basically a Kabbalah school dropout."

Madonna Planning A Family With Alex Rodriguez?

Madonna is reportedly intent on enlarging her family with US baseball star Alex Rodriguez.

The singer - who is embroiled in a bitter divorce with Guy Ritchie - is rumoured to want to bear Alex's child at the ripe old age of 50.

A friend tells the Daily Mail, “She thinks he's physically a great specimen. And if she is going to have another child, he would be the ideal man to bring one to her.”

Madonna is also rumoured to be putting her 'new man' through a series of tests before fatherhood.

The friend continued, “First, when Alex says he is going to call, Madonna checks that he calls when he says he will.

“Guy would always call late or not at all. Madonna has also tested Alex on his knowledge of Kabbalah text and he did remarkably well.”

Alex also reportedly told the queen of pop he sees her as a spiritual being not a famous icon, which Madonna heartily approved of.

Madonna has dinner with Alex Rodriguez

Singer said to have had secret meeting with US baseball star

Madonna apparently dined out last week with Alex Rodriguez – the man she was accused of having an affair with earlier in the year.

The pair are said to have gone to great lengths to keep the meeting at New York’s Dos Caminos restaurant quiet.

‘Madonna entered through the front door half an hour after Alex arrived and had her security guards check the exits before she sat down at a quiet corner table,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror.

‘When the meal was over they left by separate exits.’

The singer, 50, was forced to issue a statement after the New York Yankees’ baseball star, 33, announced his split from wife Cynthia in July.

Cynthia’s lawyer cited Alex’s friendship with Madonna as the ‘final straw’ in the breakdown of their marriage.

‘I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez,’ Madge, who is married to Guy Ritchie, 40, said at the time.

Alex Rodriguez Responds to Wife’s Divorce Filing

New York Yankees Alex Rodriguez takes a slug at his wife, Cynthia, in a new statement.

The baseball player responds to his wife’s claim of “emotional abandonment” and her request to keep the $12 million Coral Gables mansion.

He argued that the divorce settlement should be determined by their prenup, which Cynthia signed a month before their 2002 wedding, reports People magazine.

The pair have two children, Natasha, 3, and Ella, three month. A-Rod admits that his wife is a “loving and nurturing mother.”

According to court documents, the athlete wants the two to work out a time-sharing custody schedule without the court’s intervention.

Although A-Rod admits the marriage is “irretrievably broken,” he feels that mentioning “immaterial and impertinent” issues like his alleged “extra marital affairs and other marital misconduct,” is unrelated to the case, because Florida is a “no fault” state.

Although Madonna was not mentioned in Cynthia’s court documents, her attorney called the Yankee’s association with the singer an “affair of the heart” and “the last straw.”

Alex Rodriguez's and his wife spending family time in Toronto

Continuing to spend time together for the sake of their children, Alex Rodriguez and his divorcing bride Cynthia have been spotted side-by-side over the past few days in Toronto, Canada.

On Saturday (July 12), the NY Yankees slugger, who's in town to play against the Tornoto Blue Jays, and Cynthia took their oldest daughter Natasha Alexander out for a family dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.

Meanwhile, Cynthia decided to keep their younger daughter Ella at home, as she reportedly has an ear infection.

Of this, a source tells: "It's not a great idea for [Ella] to fly. But the older daughter is in [Toronto] with him this weekend. She flew with her mom. They’re going to have a relationship for the rest of their lives."

Explaining that both Alex and Cynthia are now making decisions based on their little girls, A-Rod's attorney Alan Kluger told Us magazine: “Alex and Cynthia are going through really difficult times. All of their decisions are going to be based upon what’s in the best interest of their daughters.”

The Story: Alex Rodriguez's wife, Cynthia, to file for divorce, says attorney

Alex Rodriguez leaves his Park Ave. home before heading to the Yankees game against the Red Sox at the Stadium on Sunday night. He and his wife are expected to file for divorce on Monday in Miami

Yankees star Alex Rodriguez and his estranged wife, Cynthia, will both file for divorce Monday with she blaming their busted marriage on his "long period of infidelity" and he citing her reluctance to reconcile.

The couple will send their high-priced legal teams racing to a family court in Miami this morning to fire the first shots in what is expected to be an ugly fight, the Daily News has learned. The nasty battle will boil down to custody of their two children, the youngest just 11 weeks old, and A-Rod's multimillion-dollar baseball and commercial endorsement fortune.

At the crux of their charges to be filed in Miami-Dade County Family Court will be:

- Her claim that she can no longer tolerate his cheating with a string of beauties.

- His claim that she is not serious about patching up their five-year marriage.

News from the dueling divorce camps came on a day when pop icon Madonna adamantly denied she broke up Rodriguez's marriage by using kabbalah to brainwash the slugger into believing they are soul mates.

Even as the "Papa Don't Preach" singer insisted, "I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage," Cynthia Rodriguez's lawyer said A-Rod's shenanigans with the 49-year-old Material Girl was "the final straw."

"She has reached the end of her ability to tolerate his continued marital misconduct," lawyer Earle Lilly told The News. "As a baseball player, the guy's terrific. This is the game of real life, and that's where he's not going to make the all-star team. As a parent and as a husband, he's not going to get voted in."

As details of his love life swirled off the field, A-Rod helped the Bombers beat the Red Sox, 5-4, by hitting his 536th homer of his career, tying Mickey Mantle for 13th on the all-time home-run list.

Dream team

Lilly said he has assembled a team of four legal eagles, including Miami lawyer Maurice Kutner, to take the Yankees' $275 million cleanup hitter to the cleaners.

In an attempt to protect his vast fortune - including lavish homes in Manhattan and Miami and a private jet - A-Rod has hired high-powered matrimonial lawyer Ira Elegant to represent him in the fight.

Elegant was recently hired to represent NBA hoops star Shaquille O'Neal in his divorce from wife, Shaunie.

"Cynthia has made it clear that she's not serious about reconciling," a friend of Alex Rodriguez, 32, told The News.

The A-Rod ally cited Cynthia Rodriguez's trip last week to Paris, where she stayed at the home of rocker pal Lenny Kravitz to clear her head.

"If she were serious, she wouldn't have parked their children in Florida and run off to Paris to see Lenny Kravitz at a rock concert," the friend said.

Kravitz, who is on a European tour, denied reports that painted the two as more than just friends.

In fact, friends of Cynthia Rodriguez, 34, contend it was A-Rod who encouraged her to flee the growing media storm fed by reports about his late-night dalliances with Madonna.

"He told her to stay as long as you want," a pal told The News.

A-Rod's friend denied Cynthia Rodriguez's claims that he had fallen under the spell of Madonna's beliefs in kabbalah, a mystical sect of Judaism popular with celebrities.

'Missing in action'

"Cynthia and Alex's problems started a long time before he became interested in kabbalah," said his friend.

"She's bombastic," A-Rod's friend said of Cynthia Rodriguez. "She claims she has supported him emotionally, but you rarely see her at a Yankees game nowadays," the pal dished. "Other Yankee wives accompany their husbands on the road. She's been missing in action."

The friend also accused Cynthia Rodriguez and her family of "trying to manipulate the media."

"If she was serious about working things out, why doesn't she stop them from talking?" hisfriend said. "Alex has kept quiet."

Last night, Cynthia Rodriguez was back in Miami. After working out at a gym, she joined her trainer, Dodd Romero, and hisdaughter for dinner at an Outback Steakhouse. Adhering to her postpregnancy diet, Cynthia Rodriguez ate tilapia, sweet potatoes and brown rice brought from home.

"She's in shock and awe from it," Romero said of the pending divorce. Cynthia has privately told friends she's heartbroken over their split and insists, "I still love my husband."

His antics with Madonna have peeved her the most. While Madonna denies any sexcapades, Cynthia has told friends he's obsessed with the "Justify My Love" siren. She revealed to friends and relatives that she discovered a letter A-Rod wrote to Madonna, professing, "You are my true soul mate."

A source close to the feuding couple claimed Madonna is using A-Rod to get some ink for her Sticky & Sweet world tour, which begins Aug. 23 in Wales.

"You cannot buy this kind of publicity," the source told The News.

Still, Lilly told The News, Madonna's name will not be included in his client's court papers.

"She [Cynthia Rodriguez] has tolerated a lot of misconduct, but this one was the straw ... the final straw," Lilly said of Madonna.

"I mean, having her sit in his box at baseball games, and the kabbalah meetings that have taken place ... it's like an open forum. It's just sort of embarrassing if nothing else," Lilly said. Lilly said Cynthia Rodriguez is not looking for a media "feeding frenzy."

"The papers will just express the sadness and great distress," he said. "The trail's end is near and we need to resolve these very difficult personal issues and economic issues."

Lilly said Cynthia Rodriguez's court papers will also cite "emotional abandonment."

"It basically says that she's crushed, devastated by his inability to consent to a reasonable marital relationship with her and a parental relationship with his two children," Lilly said.
