Tracee Ellis Ross
Well, it seems like someone's still got a bee in her bonnet--Tracee Ellis Ross gave us some insight into Jill Marie Jones' departure from "Girlfriends," which will be aired this fall by the newly-formed CW Network on Sunday nights.
Tracee mentioned Jill's reason for leaving "Girlfriends" in VIBE Vixen's Fall issue, and it was a pretty sound one at that: "In order for the show to come back, the cast was not going to get the huge raises we dreamed of. When the calls went out about the new contracts, Jill gave a quick 'no.' "
It wasn't the "no" that shocked Tracee, but the fact that her former co-star didn't tell her personally. Tracee heard from the show's producers about Jill, and said that "I think I was mostly sad that after six years the call didn't come to me that said 'Hey, I've decided to leave. . ."
We're in no place to judge, but a phone call never hurts, Jill!
