Lionel Richie
Lionel Richie believes that the American public doesn't really expect quality in entertainment anymore--in fact, we can barely recognize it! As Lionel told MP3.com in an exclusive interview, "[The American public doesn't] know any different. Let me say this to you: very few people have what is called 'star presence' and that's the difference."
Lionel, whose album Coming Home will be released on September 12th, identified Beyoncé as being one of the few stars who can pull off the "star look," saying "That's star power there. That's no playing around."
There's only a few true R&B singers out there, he continued, naming Mary J. Blige and Alicia Keyes besides "star" Beyoncé. After that, the singer said "I'm all three and stuttering. . . There used to be a whole industry of people." That's a pretty hefty claim, Lionel!
