Britney Spears boys thrilled about Jamie Lynn's baby

Britney Spears visited the L.A. baby boutique Petit Tresor to stock up on gifts for her niece just days before her sister Jamie Lynn’s baby was born.

Store owner Nina Takesh tells CelebTV.com exclusively that Britney said her boys—Sean Preston and Jayden James—are “thrilled” about their new cousin.

Added Takesh, “Britney was excited to be seeing her sister and meeting her new niece.”

Spears may earn the title of Best Aunt of the Year if she continues to spoil Jamie Lynn‘s daughter, Maddie Briann, with clothes and toys.

Last month, the pop singer bought her little sister over $1,000 of gifts with a Pretty in Pink theme.

Then, just days before Jamie Lynn gave birth, Britney was back at the baby store buying more loot for her niece, another source confirms.

Big sister Britney stopped into the baby boutique on June 13 and scooped up more than $600 worth of blankets, gowns, outfits and bibs by Bunnies by the Bay.

Britney also asked about getting a six-foot-tall, custom-made bunny for Maddie Briann.

The 26-year-old star was on hand June 19 for the birth of her 17-year-old sister’s daughter.

Ashley Dupre Breaks Her Silence After Call Girl Scandal

Ashley Dupré, the call girl at the center of former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s downfall, is breaking her silence three months after the scandal erupted.

In a posting on her MySpace blog this weekend, the 23-year-old embraced her supporters and critics alike.

“Hey everyone...Let me just start by saying THANK YOU ALL, for your support!!” Dupré wrote in a posting Saturday, June 21.

“Again, thank you all so much for taking the time to send me a bit of strength and inspiration via email or comment, your words have touched me and I thank you for that...with all my heart, I love you guys!!! ...and to all the not so kind words...I love you too, because it makes me push myself and want it even more. Hard times don’t last...only strong people.”

In the wake of her prostitution scandal, Dupré has kept a low profile.

In April, she filed a $10 million lawsuit against Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis, claiming he got her drunk and “induced” her into taking topless pictures in Miami, Fla., when she was only 17.

After Dupré was exposed as Spitzer’s call girl, Francis released a racy video of her he already had in his archives.

Anna Nicole Smith lives on through lingerie

Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter, Dannielynn
, may not have a mom anymore, but she does have her panties.

Ex Larry Birkhead kept it in the family when he spent nearly $3000 at a celebrity auction Saturday buying lingerie once worn in the late Playmate’s Playboy photo shoot.

Birkhead said he wants his 1-year-old daughter, Dannielynn, to have something to remember her mother by.

“I have a lot of history I have to put together that she doesn’t really know about,” Birkhead said. “Playboy was such a big part of Anna’s career.”

Birkhead bought a pink bustier for $1,800 and a white negligee for $1,000 at the auction held at Planet Hollywood Resort on the Las Vegas strip.

He was awarded custody of Danielynn after Smith died from an overdose of prescription drugs in February 2007. She was 39.

Birkhead said he hoped the items would help his daughter learn her mother’s life story—when she’s old enough.

“You know, it’s not something I can show today, but something down the road,” Birkhead said. “It’s not going to be in any bedtime stories anytime soon.”

Comedian George Carlin dies at 71

Standup comic George Carlin, best known for his defense of free speech in his most famous routine Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television, died Sunday night.

Carlin, who had a history of heart trouble, went into St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica on Sunday afternoon complaining of chest pain and died later that evening, confirmed his rep.

He had performed as recently as last weekend at the Orleans Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas. He was 71.

“He was a genius and I will miss him dearly,” Jack Burns, who was the other half of a comedy duo with Carlin in the early 1960s, said.

Carlin has said he always tried to “sense where the line was, and cross it.”

In 1972, at a show in Milwaukee, he did his Seven Words routine and was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace. He was later freed on $150 bail and exonerated when a Wisconsin judge dismissed the case, saying it was indecent and citing free speech and the lack of any disturbance.

When the words were later played on a New York radio station, they resulted in a 1978 Supreme Court ruling upholding the government’s authority to sanction stations for broadcasting offensive language during hours when children might be listening.

“So my name is a footnote in American legal history, which I’m perversely kind of proud of,” he said earlier this year.

Carlin hosted the debut episode of Saturday Night Live in 1975. He wrote on his website that he was “loaded on cocaine all week long.” Carlin also appeared on The Tonight Show more than 100 times.

Carlin is survived by his second wife Sally Wade, and his daughter Kelly Carlin McCall. His first wife, Brenda, died of cancer in 1997.

Amy's Dad: Amy Winehouse has emphysema

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse damaged her lungs by smoking crack cocaine and cigarettes, her father told the Sunday Mirror this weekend.

Mitch Winehouse said that Amy has early stage emphysema and an irregular heartbeat, and has been warned that she will have to wear an oxygen mask unless she stops smoking drugs.

“The doctors have told her if she goes back to smoking drugs, it won’t just ruin her voice, it will kill her,” Mitch Winehouse said. “There are nodules around the chest and dark marks. She has 70 percent lung capacity.”

Winehouse, 24, collapsed at her north London home Monday after signing autographs for a group of fans and was taken to a London hospital for tests. She remained there all week.

She is still scheduled to sing at a concert in London on Friday celebrating the 90th birthday of Nelson Mandela, and plans to take part in the Glastonbury music festival the following day.

Mitch Winehouse said it would be good for his daughter to perform.

“When she’s been inactive work-wise then that’s when the problems really start. The doctors have said that medically there isn’t any reason why she can’t do Glastonbury,” he added.

He also pleaded with her drug-taking friends to stay away from her.

“What hope does she have if people are taking drugs around her,” he said.

Chris Goodman, a spokesman for Amy Winehouse, said of the story: “If that’s what Mitch says, that’s what he says. It sounds right.”

Britney Spears' return to LA begins with scuffle

LOS ANGELES -- Britney Spears is back in Los Angeles, and it didn't take long for trouble to find her.

Within moments of arriving at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday evening, Spears' entourage was involved in a scuffle with a paparazzo.

Between 30 and 35 photographers swarmed her vehicle outside the terminal before a bodyguard pushed a camera into a photographer's face, airport police Sgt. Jim Holcomb said.

Holcomb said the paparazzo complained that the shove left a slight mark on the cheek, but cooler heads prevailed and no charges were filed.

The 26-year-old pop star was unscathed, and Holcomb says officers ensured she was able to leave the airport safely.

Rare Marilyn Monroe footage goes up for auction

LAS VEGAS: Candid footage of Marilyn Monroe on the set of her last completed film, along with memorabilia from other stars and movies, went up for auction Saturday in Las Vegas.

The two reels of silent 8 mm color film shot on the set of "The Misfits" was expected to draw starting bids between $10,000 and $20,000.

The auction also included the original disco ball from "Saturday Night Fever" and an original script of "The Godfather" signed by Marlon Brando. The sale was held by Julien's Auctions at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

The 47-minute film, "On the Set with 'The Misfits,'" was shot by film extra Stanley Floyd Kilarr. It features candid moments with Monroe and co-star Clark Gable, as well as Montgomery Clift, Thelma Ritter and director John Huston.

The film shows actors preparing for scenes, chatting with crew members and others on the set, and relaxing between takes.

"The Misfits" was the last completed film for both Monroe and Gable.

Gable had a fourth heart attack just after filming was finished and died Nov. 16, 1960, about two months before the movie's U.S. release. Monroe died Aug. 5, 1962.

Cathy and Rod McCormick, of Sparks, Nev., obtained the film canister from her father, Frank Hasy, Kilarr's uncle.

Items sold early Saturday included a suit worn by Elvis Presley in the film "Viva Las Vegas," which drew a bid of $36,325. Alfred Hitchcock's driver's license sold for $8,000, and an original "King Kong" French film poster sold for $40,625, according to the auction officials.

Anna Nicole Smith's former boyfriend Larry Birkhead attended the auction and spent nearly $3,000 on lingerie once worn by the late Playboy playmate. Birkhead said he was picking up mementos for the couple's 1-year-old daughter, Dannielynn.

Kate Moss, Mother of the Year?

Kate Moss bared all during an evening out with her 5-year-old daughter.

Model mother, she isn't.

Kate Moss
bared, well, everything in a sheer dress while attending an Istanbul art exhibit earlier this week with her rocker boyfriend and daughter. Mind you, little Lila Grace is just five years old.

But while Lila wore a white, modest, age-appropriate frock, the same can't be said for her mom. Kate, 34, covered up - if you can call it that - with a thong under her dress, and opted to leave her bra at home.

The supermodel's parenting skills have come under fire in the past. Photos of Moss snorting cocaine at a recording session with then-boyfriend Pete Doherty were published in 2005. The catwalker entered rehab, but came under fire for her not-so-maternal hard-partying ways.

Anna Nicole's Ex Gets Her Lingerie for Daughter Dannielynn

LAS VEGAS — They're not traditional family heirlooms, but Larry Birkhead's is not a traditional family.

Anna Nicole Smith's former boyfriend spent nearly $3,000 at a celebrity auction Saturday scooping up lingerie once worn in a Playboy shoot by the late playmate.

Katie Holmes sends baby gifts to Nicole Kidman

Apparently, Katie Holmes has no hard feelings where Tom Cruise’s ex-wife is concerned.

Holmes, 29 recently sent a deluxe gift basket to expectant mom Nicole Kidman, 41, according to Star magazine.

Katie reportedly sent Kidman – who is eight months pregnant – a gift basket from Neiman Marcus overflowing with onesies, stuffed toys and a baby blanket, among other items.

The grand total for the gift basket? Over $2,000.

“Katie wanted the best of everything in the basket,” an insider tells Star.

Amy Winehouse Diagnosed With Irregular Heartbeat

Troubled songstress Amy Winehouse remains in the hospital as doctors try to figure out what led to the recent incident, during which she briefly fainted at her London home. At the time, Amy Winehouse’s rep told People magazine, “She's fine. It was a brief thing and they took her in as a precaution. Her Dad drove her to a private hospital, but they're unsure what caused it so aren't taking any chances."

Looks like her rep wasn’t kidding. It has been reported that the singer is having a whole myriad of tests performed on her before being released.

Now, The Sun is reporting that it is an irregular heartbeat that led to Amy Winehouse’s fainting spell. A doctor spoke to The Sun about the potential reasons why Amy Winehouse may have be suffering from an irregular heartbeat- and, shocker, it has to do with drug use.

Last year, Amy Winehouse was briefly hospitalized after overdosing on crack. The doctor told The Sun, "Crack narrows blood vessels and raises pressure. It is toxic to the heart muscle, causing an irregular beat. A heart attack is one of the most common ways for the drug to kill."

Amy Winehouse is currently scheduled to perform later this month, both at Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday celebration as well as at England’s Glastonbury music festival.

While Winehouse has yet to cancel either date, her rep Chris Goodman said that ultimately, the decision as to whether or not Amy Winehouse keeps her two commitments "will be made entirely on the advice of her doctors and in her best interests."

Seems like whether or not Amy Winehouse should be singing her heart out later this month or kicking drugs in order to save her heart is sort of a no-brainer. But then again, what do we know…

Nicole Kidman, 41 today, tells American Vogue about baby

NICOLE Kidman has described the experience of carrying her own child as "primal", saying she enjoys the unpredictable nature of pregnancy.

The Oscar-winner also revealed that she fainted while on a horse on the set of the new Baz Luhrmann-directed epic Australia and said gardening at her home in Tennessee was helping her relax before the birth of her first biological child next month.

Kidman, who turns 41 today, made the revelations in a cover story for the new issue of American Vogue, which will hit news stands in the US next week.

"When I first saw the baby on the ultrasound, I started crying," she said.

"I didn't think I'd get to experience that in my lifetime.

"To feel life growing with you is something very, very special - and I'm going to embrace that completely. The whole experience is so primal. I like the unpredictable nature of it."

Kidman, who has two adopted children with ex-husband Tom Cruise, said she was overwhelmed with joy when she found out that she was pregnant in her home town of Sydney after production on Australia moved from the outback.

"To be given the blessing of a child at this stage of my life - you just say, 'Wow, this was meant to be'," she said.

"I'm glad I've learned to let things flow. I'm now so much more capable of receiving love and giving it in a far different way."

Kidman, who has continued doing rigorous exercise during her pregnancy, played down the criticism about her body, which has remained strikingly thin despite the actress being on the verge of giving birth.

"Just look at how I'm sitting here with my legs apart," she told Vogue. "This is the way you have to sit when you're pregnant."

Kidman, who posed for a shoot with world-renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz on the set of the upcoming Australia, said when she found out she was pregnant she instantly withdrew from her scheduled role in drama The Reader but continued to work 15-hour days on the set of Australia.

The willowy actress stars as a British aristocrat who bands with a handsome drover, played by Hugh Jackman, to drive 2000 head of cattle across the Australian outback as World War II is erupting.

Jackman said his long-time friend struggled in the early months of her pregnancy.

"Nicole had horrendous morning sickness," Jackman said.

"But she's a trouper - she put everything on the line every day."

Kidman, who is expected to give birth in either Los Angeles or Tennessee, said the film was the most challenging project she had ever worked on in her 25-year acting career.

"It's the roughest thing I ever had to go through," Kidman said.

"I was sitting on a horse once and I remember thinking, 'Gosh, this is what it feels like before you faint', and then I fainted.

"There was another time we flew in by helicopter to the salt flats it was like a moonscape - there was just nothing there and we got caught in a dust storm so bad we couldn't even see.

"Everybody lived out there for five days in these little silver tents. It was great. That's the adventure.

"That's why you make movies. It's the equivalent of The African Queen, where they were out in the wilderness and Katharine Hepburn was washing her hair with a bucket. We all want that experience."

Kidman said she had been enjoying simple pleasures at the rural property she shares with her country singer husband Keith Urban - near Nashville in Tennessee - during the past few weeks.

"We have a farm there and I have an organic vegetable garden," she said.

"This is a path I'd not taken before - my mum's always gardened, my sister gardens and I've now conformed to the Kidman women's hobby of gardening.

"There's a softness to the Tennessee landscape that I just love. It's very beautiful out there. We have deer and wild turkeys."

Pregnancy has not lessened Kidman's love of a good time.

The magazine revealed she recently tossed a party at her friend Naomi Watts's house and made a grand entrance carrying an enormous python.

The writer also said that when he arrived on the set of Australia to interview the leading lady, she spoke to him in a toffy English accent - keeping in character as Lady Sarah, the aristocrat who falls in love with the rough cattleman, played by Jackman.

Jackman told the magazine Kidman had persuaded him to take on the role before they'd even read the script.

"Nicole came over to my house for a Super Bowl party in 2006," Jackman says. "And she knew I was talking to Baz about doing the movie. She said, 'You must do it, you must do it', and I asked, 'have you read the script?' and she said, 'No, it's Baz. I don't need the script'."

Angelina Jolie Staying "Home With the Kids" Until Twins Are Born

In a new interview with USA Today, Angelina Jolie wouldn't reveal her due date (Kung Fu Panda co-star Dustin Hoffman said it's August).

But she did share how she and Brad Pitt are prepping for their twins.

"We've made a point to, both of us, not be working," she says. "So we'll be home together with the kids.

"At the same time we're expecting two, we have four, so my focus now is on the four we have," she says of daughter Shiloh, 2; Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3.

"And these are some big times for them, big moments in their lives," she adds. "So every day is just about making sure that their schooling is going right and their manners are intact and we're disciplining properly and we're spending enough time with them individually, so they seem special. That's a lot of balance when you have a lot of children."

Pitt does his part as well.

"I'm very lucky — I'm with a man who makes me feel very sexy pregnant and loves children," Jolie says. "In the last few months it's hard for me to pick up the other kids, so he's there to help lift them up to me and things like that.

"He's an extremely hands-on dad with all the kids and really, really supportive," she adds. "Any woman knows that when you're pregnant, if you have a partner who is embracing it with you and excited with you, it makes all the difference. I'm very lucky to have him."

Billy Bob Thornton Denies Mocking Angelina Jolie

He didn't criticize her relationship with Brad, says rep...

Billy Bob Thornton has denied mocking his ex-wife Angelina Jolie about her relationship with current partner Brad Pitt.

The actor/singer was quoted at the press launch for his new record as saying, "[Angelina] is just going through a high school phase. You know dating the quarterback of the football team with Brad Pitt over there. She'll be waking up from that dream in no time."

He is then supposed to have added, "Who knows if I'll be there when she's ready to come to her senses though."

It all sounds very tongue-in-cheek, however, Billy Bob's rep denies that his client said any of the above.

Megan Fox: Will Anybody Care When I Kiss Shia?

Amid the bigger, better and louder explosions that will be detonated in her upcoming movie sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Megan Fox isn't sure audiences will care about any of the quiet moments – like when she and Shia LaBeouf get to lock lips.

"As big as the first movie was, this is 10 times as big, 10 times as many set pieces, explosions and acrobatic stunts," Fox, 21, tells MTV.

"Shia and I make out a little bit; I don't know if anyone wants to see that." To bolster the chances that they might, Fox says, "We've been having script meetings, and we've been reworking the script, because they wrote it fast because of the writer's strike." While the Autobots battle the Decepticons, Fox plays Mikaela, and LaBeouf plays Sam; the sequel to last summer's blockbuster (which was simply titled Transformers), is due for release a year from now.

"We've just been going through and trying to do some character stuff for Shia and myself in the middle of this crazy world that they're in, "she says of the script sessions. "I can tell you that we're on locations in some really exotic places."

The result, she promises, will "be a badass movie. It's just going to be a popcorn-visual-spectacle, summer film." As for guidance from her director, Michael Bay: "His main note to me is just to look hot," reveals Fox, "so I try my best."

Brad Pitt Jets to Italy for Radiohead Concert

How do you say "Fight Club lives!" in Italian?

That's the question sharp-eyed Radiohead fans were asking themselves Wednesday evening, when Brad Pitt and Edward Norton – costars in the 1999 cult hit – reunited in the V.I.P. section for the band's Milan show.

Wearing a straw fedora and sporting a mustache and goatee, Pitt left his Chateau Mirival home in the south of France – where he's awaiting the impending arrival of his twins with Angelina Jolie – late Wednesday afternoon.

The 44-year-old then hopped a private jet to Milan, where he took in the concert with Norton and family friend Marianne Pearl (who Jolie portrayed in the film A Mighty Heart).

Norton has told interviewers in the past that he and Pitt share a passion for Radiohead's early work. "Brad has definitely been to see the band perform before," says a source. "He loves [their] music."

Fans' photos of Pitt – smiling and proudly showing Norton and Pearl pictures of his children on his cell phone – began circulating on Italian Web sites before the concert was even over.

Following the gig, it seems Pitt did not return to France right away. Both Italian and French news agencies are reporting Pitt bunked down overnight at the nearby home of another famous friend.

That would be George Clooney, of course, who lives 50 miles away in Lake Como.

Martha Stewart 'barred from UK'

American lifestyle guru Martha Stewart has been refused a visa to enter Britain because of her convictions in the US, according to reports.

The millionaire, aged 66, served five months in a US jail in 2004 for lying to investigators about a share sale.

Her spokesman said she hoped the matter could be "resolved".

The UK Border Agency would not comment specifically, but said it opposed the entry to the UK of anyone convicted of "serious criminal offences abroad".

Ms Stewart had been due to visit the Royal Academy of Arts in London, as well as carrying out a number of other engagements.

The Academy said it understood a series of informal meetings and a tour had been planned, but it was unaware the visit had subsequently been cancelled.

Ms Stewart amassed a fortune from books, magazines and television programmes giving lifestyle advice on topics as diverse as cooking, gardening, decor and weddings.

Her spokeswoman told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "Martha loves England and hopes this can be resolved and that she will be able to visit soon."

Keira Knightley: I'd rather go naked than sing!

Actress says her musical scenes in new movie The Edge Of Love made her more nervous than her sex scenes

Keira Knightley has revealed that she finds stripping off on camera far easier than having to belt out a song.

The 23-year-old actress says she was more than happy to film nude scenes for The Edge Of Love.

‘I always bare my breasts in sex scenes,' she says. 'So when the director asked me to take my bra off, I said: 'OK then."'

But Keira isn't so blasé about singing in the movie, which premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival last night.

'That was terrifying,’ she tells the Daily Record. ‘I was like a pre-pubescent boy. My
knees were shaking, but a couple of shots of vodka and everything was OK.’

The film was written by Keira's mum Sharman Macdonald, 57, and also stars Sienna Miller, 26.

On the red carpet Sienna posed arm-in-arm with co-star Matthew Rhys, 33, in her first public appearance since splitting with Rhys Ifans.

She's rumoured to have ditched 39-year-old Rhys because of jealousy over her friendship with the Welsh actor.

Naomi Campbell faces jail over assault and foul-mouthed tirade

The supermodel Naomi Campbell was facing a possible jail term today after pleading guilty to kicking and spitting at police officers during an air rage incident aboard an aircraft waiting to take off from Heathrow airport.

A court heard that the 38-year-old screamed foul-mouthed abuse at the captain of a British Airways flight after being told one of her bags had gone missing during the luggage chaos at the newly-opened Terminal 5 in April.

Campbell ordered the captain to get off the plane and look for her suitcase, holding up the flight bound for Los Angeles for almost an hour. When cabin crew eventually called police to remove her she refused to get off the plane and accused them of targeting her because she was black.

The model pleaded guilty to two counts of assaulting a police officer, one count of disorderly conduct likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress and using threatening, abusive words or behaviour to cabin crew during an appearance at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court in west London.

Before adjourning to consider its sentence, the court heard the details of the events at Heathrow. Campbell could be jailed for up to six months and/or fined up to £5,000 for each count of assault.

Melanie Parrish, prosecuting, told the court that Campbell was a first class passenger on the BA flight on April 3 this year and cabin crew said initially she was very friendly and professional.

She said that Captain Miles Sutherland had been advised that not all the baggage had been loaded due to the teething problems at the new terminal.

The court heard he made a routine check with the passengers on board the flight telling passengers there may be a slight delay because of the baggage problems.

Miss Parrish said: "Miss Campbell, having heard this, approached the cabin crew and asked them to make inquiries about the state of her baggage.

"Regrettably it was confirmed one of her items was one of those not loaded. Having heard that Miss Campbell had been affected by the baggage difficulties, he took the unusual decision to come and speak with her and explain the situation and make his apologies."

The court was told Campbell became upset and demanded to know where her bag was and started using her mobile phone. Meanwhile the captain began to go through her options with her.

Miss Parrish said: "To say that this process was difficult would be something of an understatement. Miss Campbell made no attempt to listen to him and talked over him, stating: ’I don’t want to hear’."

The model was then heard to say on her phone: "They have lost my f****** bags, get me another flight, get the press, get me my lawyer."

The court heard Campbell continued to shout at Capt Sutherland, saying: "I can’t believe you have lost my f****** bag. Bring me my f****** bags now."

Miss Parrish said: "She instructed him to personally get off the aircraft and get her bag and show it to her. The captain explained this wasn’t going to happen. He repeatedly tried to take control of the situation and asked if he could get a word in."

The magistrates were told that when Capt Sutherland tried to explain her options, Campbell snapped: "How dare you tell me what my options are? You are not leaving until you find my f****** bags."

As the captain walked away Campbell shouted after him: "You are a racist, you wouldn’t be doing this if I was white."

The court was told a cabin services director and a BA special operative trained to deal with difficult situations were called to the aircraft but had little success.

Miss Parrish said: "Miss Campbell was clearly upset and explained to them the reason why this was so awful for her was that she was contracted to wear a particular Yves Saint Laurent outfit on a US chat show and it was in the bag that hadn’t been loaded."

She told the court that Campbell again began to shout and swear and was told that her language was unacceptable and there were families and children on board.

A spokeswoman for British Airways said today: "We take all cases of disruptive behaviour extremely seriously and take action where appropriate. We have banned people from travelling with us in the past and we reserve the right to ban passengers."

BA would not comment specifically on the Campbell case, but it is understood that the supermodel has been banned by the airline.

Amy Winehouse is still under a doctor’s care after she fainted earlier this week.

The 23-year-old singer had more scans and tests Thursday, her rep confirmed.

Winehouse collapsed Monday at her London home after signing autographs for a group of fans. An assistant caught her before she hit the ground.

Earlier this week, rumors circulated that she was told by doctors she could die if she doesn’t quit drugs.

Winehouse is scheduled to sing at a June 27th concert to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday, and is due to take part in the Glastonbury music festival the next day.

Her spokesman says that although Winehouse still plans to perform at both concerts, the decision “will be made entirely on the advice of her doctors and in her best interests.”

Jamie Lynn Spears gives birth to baby girl

17-year-old actress reportedly names 6-pound daughter Maddie Briann

Jamie Lynn Spears has given birth to a baby girl, according to People.com. The Web site is also reporting that the child, born at 9:30 a.m. Central time on Thursday, is named Maddie Briann.

The National Enquirer reported that Maddie was 6 pounds, 10 ounces, and was born in a hospital in Mississippi, not far from Jamie Lynn's Kentwood, La., home.

Spears, the 17-year-old little sister of pop star Britney Spears, has been living in Kentwood since December, retreating to her hometown shortly after announcing her pregnancy.

Spears and Casey Aldridge, the father of the baby, got engaged in March but have delayed their wedding until after the birth of their child.

News last fall that the then-16-year-old star of Nickelodeon's “Zoey 101” was expecting rocked a celebrity tabloid world already dealing with the exploits of Britney.

Jamie Lynn confessed the pregnancy to OK! magazine and said of her and Aldrige's reaction: “It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected. I was in complete and total shock and so was he.”

Spears initially kept the news to herself when she learned of the pregnancy from an at-home test and subsequent doctor visit, she told the celebrity magazine.

“Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone’s opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me,” she said.

Spears broke the news to her mother, Lynne, just before Thanksgiving, the magazine reported.

“She was very upset because it wasn’t what she expected at all,” Spears said. “A week after, she had time to cope with it and became very supportive.”

Lynne Spears, already grandmother to Britney’s young sons, told the magazine: “I didn’t believe it because Jamie Lynn’s always been so conscientious. She’s never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby.”

She said her actress daughter, the telegenic heroine of her popular Nickelodeon series, has known Aldridge for years and began dating him in high school.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: Quiet French village hit by Brangelina media circus

CORRENS, France (Reuters) - The new game in Correns, a village in Provence suddenly hit by media frenzy since Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie moved into a nearby villa, is to make up stories about the couple for the paparazzi.

You will be treated to a free glass of pastis if you can get a particularly silly story published, mischievous residents said, declining to be named.

Pitt and Jolie, who is pregnant with twins, are staying at the sprawling Miraval domain, near Correns, where they enjoy nearly 1,000 acres of woods and vineyards, a gorgeous 17th-century villa, a swimming pool and helicopter pad.

News of their arrival with their four children has drawn paparazzi from all over the world who now engage in a daily game of cat-and-mouse with security guards under strict instructions to protect the family's privacy.

"They came here to find some peace, and instead there are paparazzi at the gate day and night. It's really unbearable. There are always five or six motorbikes and cars ready to launch into a chase," said Christine, a sympathetic local winemaker.

Rumor has it in the village that decoy limousines with black-tinted windows exit the property every so often to lure the photographers away, while the couple known as "Brangelina" travel only by helicopter.

For residents of Correns, the horde of reporters and other visitors keen to catch sight of the A-list Hollywood stars has provided entertainment -- and some extra business.

"It's bringing business because people are a little curious. For now there's a lot of hype, it's going to be good for the next few weeks and after that we'll see," said Onno Stijl, a chef at the Auberge du Parc hotel and restaurant.

Less impressed are the local hunting enthusiasts, who say the Miraval domain is prime territory for boar and who fear tense encounters with the Pitt-Jolie security guards when the season starts on August 15.

"We have the proper authorizations and everything," said a local hunter, pre-empting any possible objection to the annual shooting fest in the Miraval woods.

Sexless in the Holy City: Kristin Davis in Israel

Kristin Davis’ Sex and the City character may have converted to Judaism in the show, but in her first visit to Israel, the actress did not seem to be on the lookout for a nice Jewish boy.

When asked whether life was imitating art in regards to her relationships with Jewish men during the course of the show, Davis—who is single—told the Jerusalem Post she didn’t like to discuss her private life, but admitted that she doesn’t date.

Davis is currently in Israel to do a photo shoot for Ahava skin products.

At a news conference, she praised Israeli women for their natural quality, love of fashion and for “being comfortable in their own skins.”

Davis admitted she would not miss anything about her SATC character Charlotte. She said, “I am the character. I won’t miss anything, because I am her.”

The actress refused to discuss Israeli politics or the Mideast conflict, but when asked which Presidential candidate she liked, she exclaimed “Obama!”

“He is fantastic, and it’s a very exciting time in America,” she told the paper.

Pete Wentz steps out for the Chicago preview of Angels & Kings

You’re not doing too bad for yourself if you celebrate your 29th birthday with a private preview party of your very own bar. And if your name’s Pete Wentz.

On Tuesday, the Fall Out Boy bassist and partners—local nightlife fixtures Matt Eisler (Empire Liquors, Victory Liquors) and Stephen Westman (Lakeview Broadcasting Co.)—unveiled Angels & Kings, their new River North bar with a gritty rock ’n’ roll edge in the space most recently occupied by Rockwell. (Celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton is also a partner, but he didn’t attend.)

Yeah, this spot has star-studded appeal.

But the group plans to give Angels & Kings substance too. Get ready for live band karaoke Wednesdays hosted by Fall Out Boy’s Joe Trohman (when he’s in town), Angels & Queens Sundays for the GLBT crowd, and AK47 Mondays for industry peeps.

At Tuesday’s preview bash, guests walked in to have a mugshot taken—a theme carried throughout the space. Oversized celeb mugshots of James Brown, Janis Joplin and Ozzy Osbourne—just to name a few—grace the walls.

Smaller shots of Pete and wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz hang on the DJ booth; eventually patrons might see their own pics plastered on the wood plank-covered walls.Dark walls and low lighting create the perfect mood for rocker wannabes who prefer a bit of privacy.
The overall aesthetic is raw and edgy, yet comfortable.

Bench seating lines the wall opposite the bar, while a couple of large gangster booths and an elevated platform with couches cover the front half of the space.

It’s also fun: Bathrooms are covered in chalkboard paint, a yellow halo lights up above the DJ’s head, painted AK-47s by artist Peter Gronquist are on display, and there’s a huge gong behind the bar for the staff to ring when a big shot buys a “gong shot”—meaning everyone in the bar gets a shot.

Private, invite-only parties take place this week; AK will open to the public next week.
